What an ignorant thing to say. If it really upsets you, delete it. What he said was completely out of line and a little offensive.

I think you're response where you referenced his political stance was pretty clever. Way to keep a cool head and use logic against the asinine judgments of others!

Agree with the other ladies, but wanted to add that I am a hardcore Republican..more like a Reagan Conservative and I am also a proud homebirther who wants government to stay totally out of my healthcare choices!!

I just wanted to add that I am Republican also, that wasn't meant as a dig, just giving background to why I responded the way I did.

Thank you for all the responses ladies! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought he was a total A-Hole! haha

A good quote to think of when you read his crap..

"Better to stay silent and be thought a fool.. than to speak and remove all doubt."

Pretty sure he removed all doubt and labeled himself a fool. I'd leave it and let him display his foolishness. Birth is a personal thing, your decision to home birth was a personal one that you made an educated decision on, what's wrong with that..? Nope, home birth isn't for everyone and neither are hospitals. To each their own. Don't let him get you down.

Oh I didn't take it as a dig, just wanted to let others know that some of us Conservatives are also very much into natural health/birthing. It bugs me sometimes because it seems I have my conservative friends that think I am so nuts for homebirthing and then I have my hippie friends that think politically I am an idiot. I just wish I had a small group where we had politics AND health in common LOL!

I think the guy probably would have been laughing behind his words if he said them to your face, but really needs to realize that things are taken differently when written. And the soup comment, well was just gross..in person or on facebook!
