we had a local babywearing awareness event and i won the "big" door prize....an organic Ergo!! i am so happy! i already have an ergo, but the straps are so bulky and i've been wanting a new one. the organic one is super soft and the straps are not as bulky.
soooo i want to sell my old one, and mentioned it on fb and a local mom who is a doula offered to trade my old ergo for placenta encapsulation services! she will pick up the placenta from the funeral home (yes, funeral home...state law, blah blah blah), encapsulate it for me, and then drop it off at my house. to me this is more than an even exchange!!
so i have been calling around to the local funeral homes to ask how much it would cost for them to pick it up from the hospital and they all think i'm crazy, and no one knows how much to charge because they've never done it before. one guy said he needs to make a few calls to make sure it's legal and if it is (which i know it is) he will do it for free, yay!
i just had to share.
