I'm 17w and all day I have been very crampy - like period cramps. And I have been having excessive amounts of discharge...should I be concerned? I am crampy around into my back, and though my lower abdomen/uterus area. It's not wavey at all, it's pretty consistent. It was a bit better right after I left the chiropractor, but it's pretty annoying again. Not necessarily painful...just annoying and uncomfortable....I don't have an appt until 12/13 so I'm wondering if I should be worried? or if this is normal for second + babes...I didn't have anything like this with Brylie. I had round ligament pains, but that was like a pulled muscle sensation...

I had some crampiness around that time, too. I just had to lay on the couch because I felt so awful. I figured it was a growth spurt or something. I think it lasted for two or three days before I could relax again.

I'd say just take it easy, drink lots of water, and if it doesn't get better by the end of the weekend maybe give the midwives a call.

Around 16/17w your uterus stops growing and starts stretching. I always have a considerable amount of pain around that time.

Thanks ladies, I feel better. It's still reasonably uncomfortable today, but not as bad as yesterday.

I'm extremely worried about PTL because of the foley bulb with Brylie's labor...of course at 17/18w its not exactly PTL yet

Ditto. I had the same thing around 17ish weeks this time around. Growth spurts can be interesting sometimes.

If you're really worried, I doubt your midwife would be upset about you calling! I do hope you get some relief from the discomfort though.

you might want to get checked out. I thought i was having normal pain, and ended up with PTL, and had to be put on bedrest. Might be nothing, but better safe than sorry.
