Well I guess if I'm going to be posting here I need to let ya'll know who I am.
My name is Rebecca and I'm a 31 y/o mom to 4. DH and I are planning to TTC #5 next fall. He's a firefighter/medic and I'm a former firefighter/EMT turned SAHM, just now starting back to college online. The first time I was in college it was to be a paramedic, but I've changed my major and now will be going for a degree in health care management.
I've got 2 boys and 2 girls. BJ is 12, Cammie is 8, Timmy is 5, and Ivy will turn 1 next month. All 4 were hospital births and I hated them. All 4 were at different hospitals, so I'm pretty sure the problem is not at just 1 hospital. However, I'm not a doctor hater. Personally, I feel our maternity care problems lie in the bigger health care system, somewhere between the hospital's policies and the insurance companies. Doctors are at their mercy.
My hobbies are (besides nearly constantly cleaning my house lol) my horses, my dogs, and I'm getting interested in amateur photography.
I refuse to have my next baby in a hospital unless there is an emergency. I'm actually hoping for a water birth but if that doesn't happen my life won't be ruined. I just don't want to be in a hospital.
Um, I guess that's about it for an intro. Feel free to ask any questions you want, I'm pretty much an open book. I don't walk on eggshells though, and I don't expect anyone else to for my sake either.
I look forward to getting to know you ladies and learning everything I need to know about NCB.
