I was at a freestanding birth center, transferred to a hospital. Next time, if there is a next time, I will HBAC or VBAC at a different birth center about an hour away that does VBACs and transfers to a VBAC friendly hospital-- both do breech too!
Would you mind sharing where this is? I know a woman that lives in PA that is contemplating a VBAC. I am not sure where she lives, but it might be an option for her. You can PM me if you want.
When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7 Sail Back to Me
hospital for first NCB(was induced but no pain meds) and birth center affiliated with a hospital for second NCB. I'll either go back to them next go or if I really got brave between now and then I'll attempt a homebirth.
I'm giving birth at an awesome hospital, and I'm happy with that choice. I'd prefer a home birth, but there was just no way I'd have any support on that from anyone in my family. Ordinarily I'd say, "Screw you guys, I'm doing my own thing." But since I'm living at my in-laws house right now.... Yeeeeeeeah. Not exactly comfortable giving birth in my MILs bathtub!
If I had my husband with me for this pregnancy, I'd be more than willing to give birth at our home in WA. But I wasn't going to do that without him, so moving to NY and being picky about my hospital and practice was the best I could do.
