Where did you or are you planning to have your NCB at?

I've included multiple choice answers so you can answer for any past NCBs that you've had.

I've had two NCBs and both were in a hospital. The first I had to fight tooth and nail with the staff on everything (despite my OB saying he was fine with everything we wanted, that little Judas Iscariot) and the second was amazing and everything we ever wanted.

My first was born at a freestanding birth center. The plan for the second baby is that he/ she will be born at home.

I had mine at a free-standing birth center. This baby will be the same unless I can talk DH into a homebirth.

I have had all of my babies in teh hospital. Only one was truly natural with no interventions. I had two pain med free births, one the only intervention was the induction, the other there were ruptured membranes, an I.V., cont. fetal monitoring (the doc did a scalp monitor without permission), and eventually pitocin. My first birth was a c-section, so I obviously had meds with that, and my first VBAC I got an epidural.

If we get pregnant again I am leaning towards homebirth, which would mean either UC or paying a traveling midwife. I have heard really mixed things about the local hospital I would have to deliver at.

My first baby was induced and I didn't get my NCB. My second, a NCB, was at a birth center attached to a hospital. I plan to utilize it again for future pregnancies.

DH has suggested homebirth, but I don't know if that is for me. Though I like the idea of not having to go somewhere and all that, but we're more than 30 min from any hospital and that doesn't sit right with me. Also, I love my midwife and she does not do homebirth...and I can't imagine having future babies without her.

I was induced with an epidural with my first baby, but my NCB was at home! Any future babies will also be born at home.

I was at a freestanding birth center, transferred to a hospital. Next time, if there is a next time, I will HBAC or VBAC at a different birth center about an hour away that does VBACs and transfers to a VBAC friendly hospital-- both do breech too!
