The only thing wrong with a natural birth is you can't lord over your SO's head about how you suffered through the pain of childbirth to bring forth their beatiful child! My DH was there, he knew I wasn't in pain and that I can't wait to do it again! I tried that line once when I wanted him to do something for me and he didn't want to, he just laughed at me and said "yeah right, I was there remember?"

LOL Jenn!

I hear ya. When I try to use that line he just says 'yeah, right. That's why you get so excited thinking about this baby'. LOL! Oh well!

My labors are short so I cant complain too much. But he did pass out when DD was born so I can make fun of him for that instead.

That's funny! My labor was pretty quick and DH fell asleep while I was transitioning--I always have that to hold over his head!

I did use hypnobirthing but I was never "hypnotized" or anything like that. Just very relaxed and focused. It was wonderful!

Yeah, my labors (one medicated and one natural) were both very painful. I don't say so much about giving birth or pain or labor, though. My comment is "I pushed out YOUR 10 pound child with no drugs, you can get up and GET me a glass of water." Never mind the kid's three now. I'll still be using that line when he's 40, darnit!!

I wasn't in pain for my son's natural birth either. A slight back ache, but that's it.
