I have not tested for GD yet, but I was thinking of following it just to help curb my carb intake and maintain a good weight. I have lost 13lbs since becoming pregnant and now the scale is creeping up again. I'm so nervous about it. I know I shouldn't be, but if I can do my best to eat healthy maybe I won't be as down on myself.

If you did follow it did you use this website or another source?

I started out following it in early pregnancy (from the website you linked), and then the debilitating morning sickness hit. Even with Zofran, there was a several week period where I couldn't even drink water, it was awful! The vomiting was gone for the most part with the Zofran, but the nausea stuck around...for months. I was still dealing with it at 7 months, although it was much better then before. Anyway, that being said, I was never able to get fully back on track with the diet although my protein intake is much better then it was then. (As long as I'm whining....I still throw up on occasion - this morning after water aerobics *sigh* shouldn't I be over morning sickness at nearly 37 weeks?!?!!!)

I did it pretty religiously with Hunter - not at all with Brylie.

Hunter was an all around healthier pregnancy, baby, and birth experience. I declined the GD test with him and he was only 8.2# at 40+4..Brylie was pretty big at 7.7# at 37w

I also had HELLP with Brylie and no concerns with Hunter
