I haven't delivered yet but I would really like to present my doula with some sort of gift when she does her postpartum visit. She's been great so far and I'm sure she'll be priceless at my birth, so I would like to give her some sort of token of appreciation for her hard work. Anyone have ideas for what an appropriate present would be?
Hmmm... my doula has been wonderful so far, however we are paying her quite a bit of money so I had not planned on giving her more than just a thank you card with a birth announcement.
I am trying to think of something a doula would really appreciate, but I can't really think of anything. Maybe a piece of artwork? If you could find something pregnancy related somehow. Geez... not sure what else, maybe just something simple like some candles, or some home made baking in a nice new cookie jar, or something like that.

Did you find a gift Dani? How did you like your doula??? I ended up getting something for my midwife from cafepress. I got her a large coffee mug with a nice poem on it, and then a nice card as well. I had wanted to get her an organic bath set, but couldn't find much. I'm thinking about getting her some teas too
I got my Doula a gift card to Starbucks and a gift card to a restaurant. I figured coffee is good for the long nights attending a birth and a restaurant would be nice to have some time with her husband/family. For my midwife I got a photobook with the pictures from our birth. She has used it to show other clients what a home birth looks like
