I am leaning more and more towards wanting a natural birth. I just know they are going to give me a hard time in Quebec about it, it is just not done that way up here. So, there are no classes to prepare. I did order a few books that you guys talk about. I just need to get my dh on board so he can support me when I am ready to give up!

you can do the home study of hypnobabies if you can't take an actual class.

You can do it! There are many ways to prepare, and people have natural childbirth all over the world. Even in Quebec! It may not be popular, but your body was made for this! Sometimes the best choice is not always the easiest

There are so many good books out there to read and lots of amazing resources. Let us know if you have any questions. The ladies here are full of lots of support (helped me with my last baby) and are also full of helpful info!

I am a very determined person, so I am sure I can stick with it. My husband thinks I am crazy, but he will support my choice. I ordered some books and will start reading. I just know I never want to see pitocin again! That stuff was the death of me.
My husband is worried about the pain, but nothing can be worse than pitocin!

You can do it!! It can be really hard work, but it's like running a marathon... it's physically taxing and takes preparation and mental concentration, but you can totally do it and you will feel awesome when you do. Determination is a big thing! I did take a class, but it's nothing that I couldn't get from reading books. I loved books (like Baby Catcher) that had women's stories about birth. And I loved the info books detailing what exactly happens in there.

I've never had pitocin, but so many people say it is just killer!

You can do it! I've never taken any classes, and have had two NCB's so far. I did read a few books but I really just figured it out as I went along...things like what work for me and how my body handles labor. Having a supportive husband does help tremendously, so I'm glad that your DH is on board. Good luck!

That's awesome! You can totally do it! Your body was meant to do this! I know for me, just reading some of the natural birthing stories on here was enough to inspire me to make the decision. My sister in law actually had her last baby naturally to and that was even more inspirational! Just surround yourself with positive people and you can do anything Good luck!!!
