I had my second m/w appt yesterday. I see a group of 4 midwives who rotate through each of the visits so that I'm familiar with all of them by the time I deliver. The first midwife that I had, I really didn't click with and it made me doubt that I wanted to stick with this practice. Then another midwife took over the visit and she was great. So was the m/w yesterday. I just hope I don't get the first one when I deliver, but if I do, I'll have my labor support to help me, anyway.
I was totally honest and told the m/w that I saw yesterday that what I really wanted was a home birth. I thought that because they worked out of the birth centre, they needed patients to deliver there so that the birth centre fee could help keep it open. Apparently they work OUT of the birth centre but are not directly affiliated with it. So she said that we can definitely do my home water birth!!!!!!
I'm so over the moon happy! I also finally got to hear Squishy's heartbeat: wub: Apparently, my doppler is crapping out

and that's why I haven't been able to hear it yet.
