Do you have a play list for labor? Did you listen to music while you were in labor?

This last labor is the first time I had the presence of mind to turn it on. I had always tried to pick quiet soothing music to put on a play list. But for some reason leading up to the birth I knew I wanted to listen to Adele, the 21 album I think is the name? Anyway, it was such a cool vibe in the room during labor to have her album playing. The student midwife made a few comments about it afterwards. She thought it was something she wouldn't have thought of, but somehow it suited labor for some reason! I totally agree. I also had another song playing... this one..
Joshua Radin - Today - YouTube

I just love the lyrics "This is the day I make you mine" and "You are the one I've been waiting for... today!" and "I thank God you came along!" Perfect for birth!

I didn't like a whole lot of my birth this time... but these songs and remembering them during labor put a smile on my face!

There was nothing soothing about my labor playlist. We rocked out to a ton of different music everything from Lisa Loeb to Lady Gaga. It was super fun!

I didn't have music with either Lily or Vi's labor. I totally didn't want it...I got pissed when DH tried to turn some on with Violet

I've made a playlist just incase I want it. I don't think I'll have it playing out loud in the room though, only through head phones to try to zone out if I end up listening to it.
