Hello everyone. My hubby and I have decided to TTC baby number four. But it won't be for some time. I have always said that if I have another child, that I would like to try a birthing center or at home with a midwife. I have no clue where to begin looking for this kind of information. I also want some information for my hubby because he is the type to go to the doctor for the sniffles so I know that having a baby in our bedroom or living room would be a no go for him. Any suggestions?
Hi and welcome! I hope you find all the info you are looking for here!
Birthing resources are different for every area that you live in. I might suggest contacting your local ICAN, La Leche League, or if there are any birth networks in your area, to get an idea of what is available to you where you live. Don't be afraid to interview some home birth midwives and tour the different birthing facilities before you even get your BFP.
My husband is also a go to the doc and pop a pill for everything kind of guy, but he LOVED the homebirth. He would have never done it for our first (there's probably no way in Hades that I would have been able to convince him the first time around). But after a bit of maturing and lots more experience, he came around.
Looking forward to seeing how things work out for you! And can't wait to hear about your BFP!
