I'm 38 weeks and I'm experiencing a lot of back pain, spasms, and a lot of cramping. I heard a massage could help matters or put you into labor. Anyone have experience from this? Perks? Cons?

I had major lower back pain in my first pregnancy and went for a Prenatal massage with DH for our anniversary. It was bliss! If you have the chance a massage is always nice no matter what but especially when pregnant.
I do know there's certain pressure points known to help put women into labor whose bodies are ready but I personally dont have experience with that.

Girl, go for that massage. Yes, there are some acupressure points which can stimulate some contractions and if you go to a massage therapist who is familiar with prenatal massage, you will be fine.

I had a regular prenatal massage when I was about 8 months and it was wonderful!!! The massage therapist used lighter pressure than what I'm used to and didn't focus long on certain areas where pressure points can start contractions.

I also had two induction massages when I was past 41 weeks. I wasn't expecting them to work (which they didn't) but I never turn down a massage so I went with it

Also, seeing a chiropractor could really help with your back pain. I had horrible pelvic pain at the end and getting regular adjustments was the only thing that helped.
