With my last I was sitting up eating my tea at 6? 6.30pm? in my room whilst in full labour, ate about 1/2 of it & was full. I gave birth to him at 8.45pm that night, no vomiting. I swear having tea sustained me through the pushing stage.
I know that it's common to vomit in transition, I've seen it with others, but haven't actually ever thrown up in labour myself. That said I think that I would rather vomit up 'something' than stomach bile :x
