I am now 41w2d pregnant with #2. Today's ultrasound went superb, but for the first time ever, my blood pressure was borderline worrisome. If it's still elevated at my checkup tomorrow, I will have to be induced Fri morning. Nearly every.single.woman in my family has had c-sections for one reason or another, so I am fearful of any medical intervention that inevitably raises by risk of a c-section. I'm hoping my BP goes back down and/or I go into labor on my own before this call has to be made. I've had plenty of sex, EPO vaginally, walking, even 2 membrane sweeps, acupunture for cryin' out loud, & yes, a tad bit of castor oil, but to no avail. Trying not to feel down here, but it's hard ...

Oh no!

Hopefully you'll go on your own!
How's your cervix?
Mine was still no ready for labor when they decided to induce me.

My induction was just with Cervidil, thankfully no Pit!
Maybe ask about starting with that?

Also bring out those hypnobirthung CDs to help you relax. Make friends with the fear cleansing one.

First of all, it's very likely that you'll go into labor on your own in the next few days!! Secondly, borderline or slightly elevated BP on it's own is not a diagnosis for pre-E. Be sure they are also doing appropriate tests or checking symptoms to confirm that.

Any updates? I hope you've had some progress and I agree you should have them check to be sure the borderline bp really is a concern. Sending you lots of easy labor vibes!
