This is a wonderful site for those of you thinking of a VBAC. Having a VBAC in a hospital is getting harder and harder. In the area I just moved from none of the hospitals are allowing VBACs. My midwife fought it tooth and nail but it was a no win. When VBAC were legally allowed the dr's wouild make you think that they support it and then the closer you get to delivery the more scare tactics they would use. Most mothers were told their babies were just to big and would not fit. If you are not opposed to homebirth and have only had 1 section it should be rather easy to find a midwife but even that is getting harder to do.
I suggest knowing your rights
If you are more than 7 cm dilated a hospital can not refuse to admit you and the can not force you to have a surgery. Should you choose that route be prepared to be treated horribly though.
