Que's post on Blessingways got me wondering; Has anyone had belly art done? Henna, Belly painting, or belly casting?

If yes, how far along were you when you had it done? I'd love to see pics!

If no, is this something you would ever consider doing?

I'd love to do henna with this pregnancy!

Every pregnancy I keep thinking I want to do a belly cast and then never get around to it. I'm not sure where I'd KEEP it afterwards

Yeah I think belly casting is cool, but I'm too practical to want it around forever, but too sentimental to ever throw it away! I know some woman hang them on the wall as art work, but that wouldn't fly with my DH

On the other hand though, I would be so sad to shower and wash off a beautiful belly paining! I want something that will last a little longer. So henna it is!... I hope

I would also do it, but Is it safe? But I've read that they are using a special kind of paint not specifically henna(I don't think this is safe),. some even use washable paint.

To my knowledge, henna is safe.

I never have a cute pregnant belly, even at almost 35 weeks, the girls I work with make fun of me b/c my belly isn't big enough..really its just that I kinda have 2 bellies! I've accepted it...I think the paintings always look really cool though.
