I had an u/s done at around 5 weeks, but honestly, they couldnt see much of anything. Basically, they took my word that i was pg b/c of my temp charts lol. Even the initial pg test came back neg (urine test in office). I had a blood test - it came back BARELY over the positive "threshold". I had a ruptured cyst, went into the hospital, they could see the cyst, but not the egg sack.
They assumed I had an ectopic but decided to wait to do anything, just in case.
They waited and within about 2 weeks they were able to confirm the pg and another week later were able to rule out a twin ectopic and conclude for sure it was only a cyst that caused the pain and problems.
Dunno if that helps, since I didnt have any pics from that U/S (they were done in the ER).
The earliest you can really see something is about 5.5-6w so you will not find a 4w pregnancy u/s. If you get an u/s earler than 6w you wont see anything and you usually have to go back and rule out a blighted ovum
