Not a clue... More than likely the tub. I used the shower with dd and it helped. I truly don't know what will help and what won't at this point. I figure between dh and my midwife, we'll find something
Just relaxing. I really liked the birthing ball, and then the tub. The tub made it feel like my contractions were only about every 15 minutes. I really thought I wasn't progressing, but an hour later the baby came out much to everyones surprise, so next baby, I'm just getting in the tub.
I am planning on just trying to accept the feeling and relax through it. To help me relax I have a hypnosis/ relaxation CD, birthing ball, bathtub & massages. I have also written some reminders on cue cards so when the going gets tough I can remember the suggestions I "thought" would help.
I had planned to use a few principles of Bradley (mainly relaxation and not fighting the process) but primarily use strategies from Active Childbirth. In the end, I had en extremely short and intense first labor so it was whatever could get me through the moment. The support of my loved ones meant a lot and was probably the major thing that helped with pain management.

Just going with the flow. Although I did read the bradley book and plan to use some of it. I plan to use water and lots and lots of relaxation, lots of positions, just whatever works.
