Were you born with meds? In a hospital? At home? How did YOUR mommy do it?

I was born in a hospital, and though I dont personally know my mother I know that she was a druggie, even when she was pregnant and so I am 100% sure that she used any drug they let her have

hmmm... never asked for details. All I know is that her labor with me was only about 5 hours.

surprisingly, a natural birth. I knwo my mom had fairly short labors. Which is very surprising, my mom is a Rx drug addict.

My mum has always described me being born in glowing terms - i always remember her talking about how Her and Dad sat and played cards while they timed her contractions through the night until it was time to go to the hospital. Then she had a fairly short labour and pushing time till i was born. SHe did say that at one stage she had a small amount of gas -but that was it.

my mother was induced ten days after my due date, with pitocin and having her membranes stripped. i think she took pain medication but it wore off before i was born and at the point where she couldn't get more, and i swear she still hates me for it.

My mom had her water break before labour had actually started and I wasn't fully engaged or ready. She was at the hospital but with out drugs until I decided to wedge my head into her hip bone and I became stuck and stopped breathing/functioning. They had my mom out cold and me cut out in mere minutes once they realized I was no long functioning in there. Mom keeps saying it was amazing that they had me out in time to revive me before there was any damage done.

Surprizingly, even after having gone through that, my Mom is my number one supporter of a natural birth. She's such a great woman.

I don't know the little details but I know it was at a hospital, vaginally, with drugs.

I was born in a birthing clinic, short labor, no drugs. My mom says that she actually didn't know that she was in labor until my Aunt told her to get out of the bathroom and get ready to go to the hospital to have the baby (she thought that she had to poop). LOL.

2nd baby, hosp birth, no drugs. Apparently I was starting to crown without her pushing when she arrived at the hosp. The dr barely barely barely got scrubbed in time to catch me. After ds's birth, I've become extremely grateful for a family history of very fast labors!

Just over 3 hour vaginal birth, med-free, no pushing (I shot out.) It was very fast and it hurt.

Unfortunatley, I never thought to ask. My mom died in early 2003.

2nd baby, hospital (barely!), no meds, quick labor. So quick, I was pretty much in the birth canal when they got to the hospital. I was almost an unassisted home birth! My mom only had drugs with one of us (there are 8) and it wore off before the transition and crowning anyway, so she never saw the point of trying it again. As such, she is totally cool with me doing drug-free. I think the midwife and the waterbirth was rather odd at first, but she is okay with it now.

My Mom always raves about her births (except her first which sucked because of a crappy hospital staff). I was born in a hospital, vaginally, no drugs, and within 6 hours of her labor starting on my due date. She is who I always turn to for positive and enjoyable birthing stories.

My mum's water broke at 32 weeks so she was in the hospital already when she went into labor, but she didn't know she was in labor, and I was born super quick with no drugs and only a nurse as the Dr. didn't make it in time. Very similar to Gabriel's birth except he decided to wait closer to his dd. My mum is very pro natural birth and, like me, doesn't like all the interventions.

My mom said it was "heavenly." She had me vaginally with an epi. No complications (thank goodness).

My mother was in a Lamaze class at the hospital when her water broke -- 6 weeks early. She had a 12 hour labor with no drugs. I was in the NICU for about 2 weeks and went home on Mother's Day.

1st child, difficult delivery, born by forceps.

She had even more trouble with no.2, but 17 years after I was born she had no.3 & he was an absolute breeze!
