Hi I'm Rachel and have been lurking here for the past few weeks ( I know another lurker !) anyhoo I have a lil boy who will be 3 in August and was born by c-section and am now 6 weeks pregnant with our next ! I am going for a natural VBAC this time around so I'm sure as January gets closer I will be posting more and more with ideas and questions .
My boy was born by c-section because basically things were not allowed to happen on their own time , but it was not a bad labor or birth at all , I labored for 26 hours during which I was given pitocin to help speed things up , I never did get more than 9 cm dilated and his head was getting swollen from the pitocin causing contractions that were pushing him into me , really I'm sure had I not been just so happy and blissful for being pregnant I would have done more educating of myself and probably would have had a different out come . But like I said it was still a great birth .
So anyhoo I am paying more attention as to how I want this birth to go this time and that brings me here , so thats about it .
