Did you wear something, or were you naked when you delivered?

I wore a gown for a *little* while during my labor. Then I got in the tub, naked of course and stayed there for a while. When I got out I put the gown on again but not for very long. I got to a point in my labor and I felt like my clothes were HURTING me. I nearly ripped it off of me. I delivered in the buff

With DD, strapped to the hospital bed I was in a hospital gown. With my natural birth I labored in the tub nude and then I had a gown on that the nurse put on me so I wouldn't freeze, it was winter and that hospital was pretty cold. I do remember thinking it was dumb to have it, wanted to be naked at that point.

I had a waterbirth, so I was all nakey in the tub. I liked it that way. I think if I had had any clothes on at that point they would have been bugging the poo out of me!

I had gowns on both times, but as soon as they were born it came off for skin to skin time.

I've had three water births but being the modest type I always wore a long, white t-shirt. I wore the same one for all three. My lucky birth shirt. I labored fully clothed and just changed into the shirt for the tub. It totally would have distracted me and made me feel self conscious if I'd have been naked in front of everyone. To each his own comfort level. Ha ha!

Kelllilee and I both delivered at a free-standing birthing center with a midwife.

yeah, it's pretty rare to find a hospital that will allow it. with my first (at a hospital) I was allowed to labor in the tub, but not deliver. There are some out there but not many.

My hospital allows waterbirth. And I was naked when I delivered both of my kids and plan to be again this time.

I was naked for my last 3. I always seem to get really hot while I labor and taking everything off was what made me more comfortable.

I labored in the tub with 1 of mine, but have yet to deliver. I hope to but I seem to go so quickly that I am not sure that will happen. I wish I hadn't gotten out to pee that one time....lol

I am too self concious. I wore bathing suit top, that covered my whole top, and a bathing suit, skirt. So I was pretty much completely covered, except for where the baby came out, and that was covered with my skirt. Ha. I love it.

Considering I walk up until shortly before I deliver I wear a nightie.
I don't get hot or feel like it hurts when I am clothed, so I am totally happy to wear my nightie
