I'm not sure where best to post this question, but I'm posting here because it is a more active board than the attachment parenting or the baby/child gear boards. I hope you don't mind the off-topic question.

I am looking for childrens toys that are not electronic (e.g. wooden blocks, dolls etc) and I'm not sure where to look or how to search. It seems everything nowadays either talks at you or has blinking lights which I personally don't want. Are there some good websites or stores that I can go to? Or some key phrase or term that I can google?

Thank you

~Rose

Sometimes you can find this stuff at local stores as well, you might check around at independant children's stores. They can also be purchased online at Amazon and a few other retailers, just google "melissa and Doug"

here's one: http://www.gummylump.com/

Target is also a good place to find non-electronic toys
