I heard on the radio driving to work this morning that they are postponing the release of this movie. Instead of Nov 21st, it'll be released sometime in July 2009. I was really looking forward to the next movie, and now have to wait. So, I'm just going to sit here & pout for a little while. (I know it won't change things, but still I'm pouting . . . )

Hmm....wonder what's up?

Question for HP fans here:

Do you only see the movies or do you read the books as well?

Just read an update online all it said was that the release was delayed...no reason. They also mentionned that Daniel (Harry) will appear naked in this movie ... I am not sure how I feel about that since my 2DD love watchin HP movies.....yikes

Naked Harry? I had not heard that. All I've heard is that it is due to a Writer's Strike or something like that.

Okay, here's an article MSN has regarding this movie . . . and nothing about a naked Harry.

I heard about this before posting here, and the reason given by the source was that it was going to be "better" to come out in the summer. I have my own opinions about this excuse, but I'll keep those to myself. I loved the books and the movies up until Books 6 & 7. So, I don't expect much from the last installments of the movies. I don't plan to see any more of the movies if I can help it.

ETA: Naked Harry......that's from the last book when he's having his final convo with someone (won't spoil it for those who haven't read the last book yet) in the forest before he confronts Lord V. Don't know why they'd put that in the upcoming movie. ??? Unless.....they may have been referring to him being in "Equus" on Broadway. He appears naked in that, too.

Here's another MSN article regarding the movies, and they mention that in the last film will involve a scene with a naked Harry.

I do remember it now from the book, and hadn't not really thought much about it. I'm sure with keeping the rating PG or PG13 they'll edit it somehow to make it appropriate for their younger audience.

That really ticks me off that they're moving it 6 months!!! It's strange, because a November release is perfect for the holiday season...they've release at that time before. JK Rowling's been pretty involved in the movies, I wonder if she saw something that she didn't like and they need to reshoot it as quickly as possible since the cast is getting older by the minute.

Karen, to answer your question....I don't like seeing a movie after I've read the book. I've seen all the movies so far, and have them all on DVD, but have only started reading the books. DH got me the whole set for Christmas last year. So, I'll probably get thru the first 3 books and then watch movies 4 and 5 a few more times before I read those. I haven't seen those 2 near as much as the other 3.

I am a complete and utter Harry Potter freak....I'm totally addicted! And I'm totally annoyed that they moved the HBP until the summer....totally stinks.

So I'm pouting with you!

Hey girls, I just popped in here from TTC 1 year+ and now I am soooooooo po'ed!!!!! I had the release date memorized!! I made my DH promise to take me opening night!! You don't check the HP website in a little while and this is what happens!! I was totally looking forward to that, and have been since they announced the release date months ago! GRRRRRRRRR!!! I have all the movies and watched them tons of times, have read every book multiple times, and I want the new movie dang it!!!

Sorry to rant, but I'm a total HP fan. Getting lost in HP takes my mind off TTC.
