I have a follow-up ultrasound tomorrow morning to check on the large cyst I have on my right ovary. It was discovered last April. It was still the same size in June, and I'm having the third U/S tomorrow. The doc said "If it has not shrunk or disappeared we'll see what we're going to do". I know that means either BCPs or surgery ...I had one last year on my left Ovary, but it was smaller by the third U/S, so I'm hoping this one has shrunk too (it was 6 cm).
Please wish me luck ladies. I don't want to go through surgery !
Update : Well, it's still there, but it seems a bit smaller (4 cm vs. 6 cm). I also have a smaller one on the left. Still waiting to hear from the doc, but I'm optimistic that he may just leave it alone.
I really hope it disappears or at least shrinks a lot. I have had a history of cyst that started when I was a teenager. I remember after my first child having them and the Dr telling me he wanted to put me on bcp. I wanted a baby and said no.
