Well, I talked to my doctor who said they will not to IUI for at least another three months and then only if my DH sperm count is up. Man!!!! She also will not put me on Clomid because she said it can cause adverse results by lowering my estrogen and thickening my cervical mucus. She said it could also thin out the lining of my uterus. She also said that after three months if DH's count is up then we will go see a different doctor three hours away ( consultation is $400.00!!!) to set up a plan. She can carry out his plan but she wants him to come up with it. I am feeling pretty discouraged this morning. If I was 25 I wouldn't care how long I had to wait, but with being 36 I am concerned about my age. I want to hurry up and do everything I can to have a baby right away.

Aw, Hallie! I'm sorry you got such a pile of bad news today. At least you didn't get it on Friday, BEFORE the weekend or it might have ruined it. Was there any good news? Like, everything else with you looks good or anything like that? I'd be doing research on how to increase DH's sperm count naturally. Good Luck, Hun! Again, I'm sorry about the bad news.

I'm sorry you got bad news, Hallie. Is there a reason they want to wait an additional 3 months? I haven't gone thru this, but I thought that with the IUI it had more to deal with sperm mobility & shape then just the count. Was your DH's sperm count to low to even consider? I agree with Jess, I'd recommend looking for natural ways to help increase his count. Good luck & we're all here for you.

His count was 18 million concentrated with only a 10% mobility. They want at least 20 million and I am not sure about mobility. She didn't say much else about it. So now I have to wait until the end of November...If we didn't live in such a small town I would try and see another doctor but I can pretty much bet they would say the same thing. They want an additional 3 months because after a vasectomy reversal your count continues to go up for about a year. So they are hoping that his count will increase in that time.

I'm sorry for the bad news. The good news is, his count will continue to go up and he's almost at 20,000 already. I'd look into herbs for increasing it, they have worked wonders for me. Sorry for the bad news. Hang in there.

I'm sorry for the bad news Hallie. The Drs. must not be too worried about your chances of conceiving- I think that's good news. If DH's count will continue to rise, that's more good news. It's not all bad, but I'm sure that it was upsetting to hear.

Sorry to hear this Hallie! It stinks to have to wait when all we want to do is move on to the next step. Let's hope that his counts continue to go up.

Maybe you will get pregnant without any help and you will not have to fork over any extra $$$$$.
