Hello all. I wanted to ask if anyone here took the First Response Fertility test and had it followed with bloodwork.

I'm about to turn 35 and came off the pill in November 2010 after 8 years. I just took one of those tests on CD3 and it was positive. I cannot find anywhere how high it has to be to make it positive. Did anyone here take one, have it be positive and end up with a not that bad FSH result? I have an appointement for bloodwork next CD3 but am looking for that bit of hope I suppose.

I am ovulating still (OPK and chart confirmed) and though my cycles are shorter than they used to be in younger years I am still about 27-28 days right now.

Thanks in advance...

Hey , I replied to your post in the Am I pregnant board. I have a friend who's doctor told her as long as she is still having monthly cycles she can have a baby. and she had her third daughter at 43 years old,so while high FSH shows low ovarian reserve it does not mean you cant get pregnant.
hopefully the test was wrong anyway, from what I hear your FSH level can fluctuate.

here is a long list of high FSH success storys:

Mine came up positive, but when tested by my RE I'm fine.
I don't know how reliable they are.

I had the opposite happen. I tested negative on the test, but my blood work showed high FSH. I still was able to get pregnant with medical assistance though.
