Hello, I am new to Just Mommies. I am 37 and I have an 18yr old son about to start his senior yr in high school! My husband of 3 years has 3 boys who live with us. After his 3rd son he had a vasectomy. We recently had it reversed in Jan. 2011 and are currently trying to have a baby together! Then we will have his, mine and ours! It has only been 3 months since the doctor gave us the green light, next week we go in for him to "give a sample" and see how the surgery went. Fingers crossed!

Well, his analysis was not what we wanted to hear today! They said he has no swimmers yet. The lady said that that is normal this soon after having his vasectomy reversed. Still, it is a little frustrating. He will go back at the beginning of Aug. to give another sample and she said that it should be better. In the mean time...I guess I know what we'll be doing!

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome also!

My birthday is just a few days ahead of yours, April 4th! I have 3 boys that are 20, 18 and 16. We tried for 2.5 years and finally got pregnant.

I am 42 and just wanted to give you lots of hope! Is there a way to extract his swimmers and do an IUI? Is that even possible or no?

I hope his swimmers show up soon and you get pregnant right away.

Thank you for the good luck!! Missy123, I'm sure that is possible, but I guess we wanted to try it the "old fashioned" way first! WORST case scenario, we could always do IVF. A doctor actually told us that doing like artificial insemenation or anything is harder than having him reversed. So, we will see!!! At least we know there are sperm present....we know the surgery worked..now to get them moving!!
