Let's chat about anything on or off topic here.

----------------------------------

Can you believe it's June already? For most of us here, this means summertime will be here soon? The hot temps have already arrived here , we hit the 100s a few times this week. I'm ready to take a relaxing vacay, but don't want those temps to go along with it. I'm just too picky.

So, how is everyone? What all is going on?

I can't wait for warm temps! So far we've only had one hot day and luckily that was Memorial Day so it was perfect for lounging around with friends and having a bbq. I wouldn't mind heat in the 100's as long as humidity doesn't come along with it. I went to Vegas in July a few years ago and it was around 110 but because it was a dry heat, it didn't feel bad at all. I loved it actually. I still can't believe it's June though. Where does the time go?

Unfortunately for us the humidity is almost always along with the heat. So it's icky, sticky, miserable. So, how hot does it get up there in Maine? I've not been that far north on our east coast.

Its snowing an hour away from here. I don't really mind, except I transplanted my peppers, tomatoes and pumpkins last weekend, dh is at work and so now if it starts snowing I've got to figure out how to get them covered so they won't freeze.
I hate the North sometimes.

Where are you with snow?? We finally got summer here in MN. Hot hot hot and HUMID. My hair does not deal with humid well.

I'm so scared because my 3 year old has to go for a tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and tubes at the end of the month. I dread it. I hate the idea of seeing him in pain. Poor guy. My heart breaks thinking of it.

It can get up in the 90's and sometimes even 100's, but usually it stays in the 80's in the summer. I live on the coast so it's cooler here. It tends to be hotter inland.

Marie, is this normal for you to get snow in June? How warm do your summers get?

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I got some yard work done and it felt so good to be outside and exercising without it feeling like exercising...if that makes sense. I have some raking to do today and cleaning. My BF's daughter was here for the weekend so the house is a bit of a disaster!

Jen - ((hugs)) Your poor little man. I hope surgery goes well. and my hair too does not like that humidity at all.

Marie - Boo on getting snow. I hope your plants survived.

Sarah - I never realized it could get that warm up in Maine. The 80s would be wonderful for all summer long. And sorry for having a disaster house now that BF's daughter has been there. How old is she again? Mark can completely mess up in minutes our living room these days, for some reason he has to take all the toys out and then put the box over his head these days. I enjoy yard work too, unless it's really hot outside. At that point, the flowers are on their own.

For us this weekend was nice & relaxing. Temps were cooler and we enjoyed some nice family time. DH had to work a couple of hours each day, but we still had time to relax. Even watched a couple of DVD movies, which was very nice. Have not had time to do that in a while.

Well so much for those cooler temps we will be in the upper 90s today and heat index puts us in the 100s. Ouch!!! I hate when we skip spring and drop right into the summers.

Okay enough whining - how's everyone doing???? Updates please!!

Boo on everyone having those hot temps.

Marie - are you going to your highschool reunion? I've not been to any of mine, and I don't know if they have even planned anything after the 10 year one. I get notified about that one.

So how's everyone doing? Weekend plans? - with me, just trying to stay cool. I hope to get some scrapbooking done this weekend. Sat evening we have plans with some close friends & have a bday party to go to on Sun afternoon for a 1 year old. Other then that, just trying to stay out of the heat.

Becky, my BF's daughter is 10. In my opinion, she's definitely old enough to pick up after herself...unfortunately, her father is the same. I'm not crazy about cleaning but I do try to pick things up and when I've cleaned the house & it is instantly messy again, I get so frustrated! It's like when I change the litter box and a cat goes right in to use it! LOL!!

Lisa, your profile pic is amazing!!! That ball sounds like so much fun!!!

This weekend has been pretty low key. The weather has been gorgeous lately, although today it is cold & rainy. Yesterday, my BF & I went shopping and then to a friend's house to watch the Belmont. Today we are going to my friend's daughter's 3rd birthday party. They are supposed to have a bbq so I hope the rain lets up. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Marie - how was the reunion?

Lisa - your profile pic is amazing. I sent you a friend request through facebook, I guess I can see the rest of your pics after you accept it. I'm glad you had fun. And yay for the beach!!!

Sarah - my cat does the exact same thing. And she'll watch me clean the box too, like she's making sure I'm doing it right and then push me aside to jump in to use it.

Our weekend was good. I didn't get any scrapbooking done, but did get laundry done and we had fun with friends Sat evening and a fun bday party yesterday. Mark got super tired but had a blast too.
