for any of my fellow buds that have done ivf, can you please help me?

IVF is scheduled for mid august

that leaves this month; i have a few options:

a- start birth control as soon as my period decides to grace me w her presence - some docs insist that women start before ivf; my RE does not care one way or another

b- do a natural cycle again w IUI

c- do a 5th IUI w Follistim - the previous 4 were natural, femara, and 2 follistim

I really would appreciate your help.

I have not done IVF, but I'd be leery of doing a injectable cycle before you get ready to do IVF, only because it can cause left over cysts which may push your start date back. But that also depends on your reaction to the Follisitm, if you have had any cysts or not.

I don't have experience with IVF but wanted to wish you luck! Have you asked the ladies on the TTCMA board? They might be able to give you some insight.

I have done IVF and would advise against trying anything this month. Give your body a rest for a month because it is going to go through a lot next month. You don't want anything to be around when it's time, like left over cysts from other tries. Give your body and your mind a rest. I didn't have to do the pills either, but my friend did. It's all what your doctor suggests. I wish you all the luck and keep us posted!
