Clomid Question??

Is there any way to tell if Clomid will really work? Are there any symptons?
The only side effects that I had from taking it (this is my first round) were HOT FLASHES!! Whew!!

Anyhoo....I have been doing my OPK's everyday and I am still having stark white results. FF says that I should be Oing Sunday or Monday, so should I start seeing a faint line or at least something by now? Right?

Not necessarily! Even on injectables, my OPK's were staying stark white till the day before they went positive. SO I'd say you should really start seeing something tomorrow or Saturday in a faint line, then your positive on Sunday or Monday. Good luck!!

definitely sounds too soon now; i would agree w Sam; you prob wont see till Saturday or Sunday; is your doc monitoring you via US? they can usually tell by the size of the follies when you will be ovulating; i was never on clomid but did do femara and cant remember if i ovulated on my own; i might have needed ovidrel but that is because some months i did not

No, my doctor is not monitoring me with US yet. This is my first round with clomid, and I don't go back to see him until October...............unless I get pregnant before then. I am guessing he will start watching things with US then. I am just hoping I O..............I wasn't for the longest time, and I did on my own last month. I started clomid this cycle, so I was wondering if there was any REAL way to see if I could tell if it was indeed going to work and make my body O. I know I am being impatient, but we all obssess over these things!! LOL

I got those hot flashes too, and got a bit cranky as well, but then again was under alot of stress so it could've been not clomid related. and when I did O, I seemed to have much more noticeable O pains, but again that could have been cause I was paying extra attention to my ovaries.

I can't give much advice on OPKs, they never really worked consistently for me. I almost always had a line, and either never got a positive, or got multiple days of positives.

And as to when I O'd, with taking clomid only on CD5-9 I would O around CD19ish. With the RE when we did our IUIs, I was on metforim as well for my PCOS, so that along with Clomid on CD3-7, I was monitored with u/s and thef follies were ready early and I triggered on CD11/12 and did the IUIs the following 2 mornings.

I know it's hard to be patient, but hang in there.

Sam was right.............I had stark white on Saturday, I didn't get a chance to use the OPK's yesterday because we were out of the house all day, but we DTD last night just to be sure and what do you know................BAM!!!!!!!!!!! Positive OPK this morning!!! I have been using one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so hopefully my surge will be tomorrow and I get one more chance to DTD tonight. We DTD last night and Friday night, so just in case I O today, hopefully, that will be enough!!
