Hi, welcome!

I'm new too. DH, 35, and myself 36, are TTC our first! So are you positive or still TTC? Sounds like positive . if so, CONGRATULATIONS!

Sorry, I didn't quite understand. I've only been on here a couple of days but everyone is really super supportive and nice.

Let me know and good luck. I can relate to your problem to a degree. I'm reallly going to struggle to keep it a secret if we do get a BFP. I don't want to think about a MC but I know it's a possibility and esp. with it being our first, not sure what to expect. It's really considerate of you to think of your SIL and her loss. It shouldn't mean that you shouldn't experience your joy though.

Tommie! I'm Becky (37), DH is Tony (also 37). We are WTTC at the moment, but I still stick around on this great board here. Whether to tell or not is hard, and the older we get the more un-welcome comments we seem to get from our family, friends, co-workers, and even random strangers. It can make you want to scream . . . and once you get pg, just be prepared for those comments to continue. I still get comments even now that swing both ways, that I've way to old to consider another child, or the ones telling me to have them now before I get any older. So frustrating. . .

Here on JM and this board, we are all here to support each other, so no judging from us. We welcome you & look forward to getting to know you. Good luck!!!

Hi Tommie and Welcome to the board!!! It is wonderful here and for me, it's really helped to know I'm not the only oldie but goodie TTC! LOL!

My name is Sarah and my BF & I are both 37 and TTC our first together He has a daughter who is 10 and we are trying to give her a little brother or sister. We got pregnant once but it ended in a loss in February.

I totally understand the whole "do we tell" debate. It's a tough decision to make and you never know how people will react. I have a few good friends who know we are TTC but I haven't told anyone else. I don't want to tell my family yet because I know they will worry. The only family member who knows is my sister. It really is so thoughtful of you to think of your SIL. I'm sure when the time is right to tell her, she will appreciate your kindness. It's also good that you have someone IRL who is there for you. We will all be here for you too, to stand by you and support you. I wish you the best of luck TTC!!

Hi! I'm Jen (age 40, DH is 42) and we have 2 boys age 3 and 6. We aren't telling anyone we are TTC, except my doctor who is fully supportive, because we are afraid of what people will say. When I was pg in Jan-April (m/c) it was a surprise, and when we told people about the m/c I got some comments like, "well, you ARE almost 40", etc etc. Ugh... I don't need to hear it. We just have a big space in our hearts ready and waiting for someone to add to our family, we don't want to justify it any more than that, nor do we need to.

Anyhow, best wishes to you and I hope you get your BFP soon!
