Since we are all "vintage" (still love that term...who first said it?) I thought I'd see what we all do to keep our youth alive. I don't know about all of you, but I don't feel like I'm 37. I have my 20 year high school reunion this weekend (luckily I only have to attend part of it) and I swear it hasn't been that long! I feel more like it's been 10 years. Anyway, even though I feel younger, there are definitely tell-tale signs creeping in that betray me. My biggest nemesis is the gray hairs! So, I color my hair religiously.

What are all of your beauty tricks?

I color my hair as well but have since I was 27 so that doesn't really count

I look a lot younger than I am, I think it is me keeping busy and an active lifestyle that attributes to it.

I'm 36 - I highlight my hair, LOL, which keeps it the color I want and covers the gray. I'm a blonde SO lucky for me, the gray doesn't show too bad.

I am glad I have you guys to talk and relate to.

I am worried with starting my family at this age that I'm gonna be the OLDEST Mommie at EVERYTHING! I've always thought I'd "age gracefully, take it in stride, etc.." However, it's bothered me more than I thought, and I've had some minor anxiety attacks recently. For example, my best friend got married this summer (she's 30). I was her maid of honor, and I helped her plan a lot of it, and, not once, not twice, BUT THREE TIMES various people thought I WAS HER MOM!

GRRRRR LOL! What's up WITH THAT? And, for the record, I DON'T FEEL 36 either!

I keep my hair high-lighted as well.

I don't drink that much or often (except the occaisional glass of wine or a single martini) and I don't smoke anymore. I quit smoking over 6 years ago.

I think I look younger than I am, but that I contribute to good genetics. My mom is 62 and she looks like she is in her early 50's.

I haven't started highlighting my hair yet, luckily it's already got a lot of highlights in it so the gray hairs I'm seeing more & more blend in for now. I don't tend to wear makeup daily (or even weekly/monthly), but I do use moisturizer daily. I love Aveeno and I think that helps out a lot. I also use my sunscreen. I learned early on that sun & me don't mix as I burn terribly. I've always looked young for my age too, and being petite also makes people think I'm even younger. Most people don't realize I'm 37.

LOL I color my hair or it would be all gray!

I avoid too much sun exposer- wear lots of sunscreen. I don't feel my age, and I guess I kind of ignore it most of the time anyway. Plus racing after a toddler will keep you young!

I don't feel like I'm 36 either really. I feel like a 26 year old with a smarter head on my shoulders than I had at that age!

I just started getting more grey hair since having a little one (my mother always told me kids would do it to you!) so I've started colouring as well. I try to be smart about sun exposure and drink lots of water to stay hydrated. I gave up smoking many years ago, don't drink too much and try to eat pretty healthy. I do have a major sweet tooth though so that's kind of my downfall.

And I find reasons to laugh as often as I can! That makes me feel decades younger!

This post made me change my signature...I have to show off...
I will be 50 next April...but dang if I don't look good!

My mother had great genes and I know that I've been blessed with them too!
Technically, my dad contributed, but he died at 54, so I don't really know how he would have aged.

While many mention hi-lights, I have actually gone quite a bit darker.
So, every month on the first, I pay bills, change the a/c filter and color my hair...
It's actually on the calendar!!!

So remember, my friends, thirty is the new twenty!!!

I'm 39, but people usually guess my age around 33-34. I don't have gray hair yet. I'm religious about getting facials and using good products on my skin. And I'm fair, so I haven't been a sunbather since my teens. I quit smoking 15 years ago, and I've been doing triathlons for 6 years. All that exercise and good food definitely keeps me looking and feeling young, I think. I really think the sun, a lousy diet, and smoking are the trifecta of how to look older

I am 37 but don't feel like I look that old. I color my hair, eat healthy, try to exercise regularly and I don't sunbathe. I like being older. I feel like I am much wiser at 37 than I was at 27.

I agree that the exercise and eating right routines make a big difference. I'm sure a lot of it is attitude too. We feel young and that shows. Now if only I could convince my reproductive organs that I am 27!! LOL!!

I have never heard of that happening before! Did it just start on it's own or did you end up going to a doctor to see what was going on?

That is too funny. If you figure out a way to convince your reproductive organs please let me know.
