I'm not TTC just yet, but DH and I will likely be starting early next year. I'm 36 and DH is 40.

I would love to TTC sooner but we have to wait for a while. DH was laid off a couple of months ago and is looking for work now, we have 2 year old DD who has special needs so I haven't been back to work yet and it would be best if I am able to build up some hours before getting pregnant so I can get some compensation while on maternity leave.

So while I'm looking for work and waiting to be able to TTC I'm trying to learn as much as possible about charting to help us get started ASAP. DD was a complete (and wonderful) surprise so DH kinda thinks it'll happen as fast as he wants it to. I don't think it's going to be that easy.

Welcome to the board! I'm new too, but I love it already.

I'm 36, DH is 35. TTC #1. This is my first cycle of being serious with it, so we'll see. Yeah my DH didn't believe me either about the level of difficulty at our age. However, this year I convinced him we needed to get busy if we wanted more than 1. He's very excited about it now. Almost as anxious as I am for a BFP!

My name is Sarah and I'm 37. My BF & I are TTC our first together (he has a 10 year old DD). We had an "oops" pregnancy in February that was instantly welcomed and wanted. Unfortunately, we lost it at 6 weeks. So, we have been TTC ever since and so far no luck. When I lost the baby, I was so devastated and luckily found these boards. JM is such a wonderful site and I have been blown away with the caring and support from the women on here. Please let us know if you have any questions at all. I think it's great that you are preparing for TTC. The more informed you are, the better. I hope that it won't take you long to give your DD a little brother or sister once you start TTC!!
