Just turning to the expert to see if any of you ladies have or had an experience like mine. I OV on Sept 17, DH and I BD that night. I started spotting on cycle day 27 and continued spotting for the next 4 days. AF finally reared her ugly head on Oct 2. Today is day 3 for AF, but now I'm just spotting again. This NEVER happens. I'm usually heavy on my 2nd and 3rd day. Does anyone know why my cycle is "acting funny"? Is it because I spotted for those 4 days?

Thanks

Hello

If you ovulated on Sept 17 and you suspect you may have conceived you should be able to take a HPT by now to see if you are pregnant.

Our bodies and cycles can change at any time for any reason: stress, illness, just because, especially as we mature (dont like saying "get older" LOL)

I had an unusual cycle last month and went to the dr and they found my left ovary full of cysts. I do have PCOS which I manage by diet but wasn't expecting it to be so bad, but I wasn't shocked either. The cysts are what threw my cycle off.

Not suggesting you have cysts, just better to go the dr if you still have a concern next cycle and want the best answer. Especially if you are TTC

Sorry I couldn't be of more help and GL!

I agree that so many things can affect AF. My AF has been shorter and lighter ever since my loss. Have you taken a HPT? It is possible to have a period-like flow and still be pregnant. Good luck and keep us posted!

Our bodies can drive us nuts. My flow changes from month to month, but some months it is more spotting and only a 1-2 days of heavy flow, then back to spotting. The next month may have little to no spotting and 5-7 days of heavy flow straight. It can drive you bonkers. Taking an HPT wouldn't hurt as there are some ladies who do have AF and still be pg. Good luck!!
