Wow! I have not been this happy in a LONG time!! I went down to my consultation with the fertility specialist today. I was soooooooo nervous and anticipating more bad news. Well, it went way better than I ever expected. He was awesome and sat with me for an hour pouring over my records and charts. The only thing he didn't have (which was the main point of me being there) was the pictures from my HSG. BUT, he said that just from reading the description, it doesn't sound like there is anything wrong with my tubes after all. He says that he would not have me do a laparoscopy...he thinks it's unnecessary and it would waste precious time. He recommends doing 3 cycles of Clomid and IUI and if that doesn't work, then doing Clomid & IVF. This Clomid/IVF procedure only costs $3500 so that is a huge relief and totally doable. I left there finally feeling like a real woman and not feeling broken anymore. I have hope and encouragement. What a great feeling!

So happy for you! That is a good feeling of hope! I understand the feeling of wondering why my body doesn't want to work the way I want it to- or the way it was intended to. I wish you the best of luck! Let me know how the clomid works and IUI. It sounds like a road I am headed down myself!

I am crossing all crossables that this specialist will see your baby dreams come true. When will you start on the Clomid and IUI?

Thanks ladies!! I am totally encouraged now! I will start the Clomid & IUI next cycle if I don't get a BFP on my own at the end of this 2ww.

From my experience when we were trying for our 2nd child after 4 years of drugs, HSG and Laporoscopy we finally decided to see a specialist. After seeing the specialist it felt like a load had been taking off my shoulders and the very next month (before our next appt with the specialist) we were PG. I'm wishing for you the same experience. Good Luck!!!!

YES! That feeling of a load being taken off is exactly how I felt and it was wonderful!!!

Thank you ladies for the good luck vibes! I've got another week until AF is due, but at least I know it's ok if she shows because we've got a great plan of action in place.

Glad that you left feeling positive. That is the best first step.

Lots of baby dust going your way!
