If one has an anovulatory cycle, will your cycle still be the same length or is it delayed?

Just curious because I have been having AF cramps for the last 3 days and AF is due on the 1st. If AF comes normally, then that means I ovulated, right? Or wrong?

It's bugging me that I haven't tracked anything this month, LOL. Taking a TTC break but it is all I can think about, geez

My cycles kept going on & on, so I did not get AF at the typical time. Now I tend to have longer then average cycles anyway, but these were extremely long. My doc had me call in if I had not O'd by CD40ish and he typically gave me progesterone to end the cycle. If AF arrives for you normally, then I would assume you did O.

I agree if AF came on her own in a normal time frame I'd say you O'd too.

I agree with the others. Every annovulatory cycle I've seen has been substantially longer than usual. If you get AF on time, then chances are, you did ovulate. It's so hard when you aren't tracking it, isn't it? I hope you are doing well!!

It is very hard when you aren't tracking. Also I cancelled my appointment for yesterday and re-scheduled for the new year and now I feel like I have really lost a grip on TTC right now.

I can only wait to see if AF arrives on schedule, sure feels like she is going to unless I am O'ing late and that is the cramping, oh wow, so frustrating not knowing, LOL!

We have another camping trip scheduled this weekend and this will be the 2nd time in 3 months that AF shows for a camping trip so I wouldn't mind if she was a bit delayed this time around

AF during a camping trip wouldn't be much fun. I hope she delays a few days for you in that case. If it makes you feel more in control, you can track your cycle while you are waiting for your appointment. I felt more in control when I tracked, and even now I kinda keep up with it. I'm not tracking via temping/charting since we are currently WTTC, but I do pretty much know when I have O'd and then I know to expect AF to arrive around 10ish days later. I tracked with FF for a while, well over a year before we finally got pg, so even without temping & actual chart I can tell with the CM & O pains. Still frustrating though as to when I will O, this last cycle was 7 1/2 weeks for me.

I thought that in order for your period to come, you needed to O? I could be wrong though. Sorry, I'm not much help!

Well AF arrived right on schedule, so taking that as a good sign

Had to cancel the camping trip last minute so at least I dont have to worry about AF ruining that!

I tell ya, not much happens for me when I plan on it, but I can always count on AF to show, LOL!!!

Boo on canceling camping trip, but it is nice when your body is "regular". That makes it so much easier to track. My cycles are still erratic, last one was 7 1/2 weeks, but once I do O then I know about when to expect AF.
