[Counting our Blessings]

For those of us who have kiddos or are TTC, which I guess is everyone in here , do you have family and friends having children "older" or do they think you are nuts?

What got me thinking, is I got a Christmas card from my old college roommate, and her kid is driving and the next one is entering high school and here I am still changing diapers. She thought I was nuts (in a good way) for having them "at our age" , hehe.

A few of my friends think I am crazy for still wanting another child at 42

I decided to start having children in my 30's as i wanted my 20's all to myself to travel and learn and see the world. I had DS at 32 and DD at 37 and couldn't be happier for my own personal choices.

Most of my friends have had their children in their young 20's, so they dont quite "get" my idea of having them when I am sooooo much older, hehehe.

I would have been too selfish in my 20's to have children. I have so much more time for my children now and when I am really old they will still be young enough to look after me, LOL (just kidding)

Most of my family had them much younger, except for one cousin who is 6 months younger then me, and she's currently pg with #4. Our closest friends who are a few years younger then us (low 30s), just had their 1st but other then that most had them in their 20s. I tend to get more comments from coworkers and acquaintances making comments about us being nuts to have them at this age. And then on the other side, I get constant comments about when we're having another one. So frustrating to listen to at times . . .
