Did you do anything exciting or was it uneventful?

DH and I pretty much relaxed on Saturday and Sunday afternoon we went to the movies and saw Superman - other than that it was pretty uneventful.

DH and I were in calgary for vacation flew back home on SAT. and relaxed on SUN.

We went camping from Fri to Sat. It was nice and no rain. It always seems to rain when we camp. Sunday two of my children went to camp. My daughter Hannah who is 15 went to basketball camp with her team and my son who is 11 went to a Christian camp for a week. He has never gone before and didn't know anyone that was going. He was excited to make new friends. It ended up being that some of his home school friends were there. I can't wait to hear how he did.

We did have a funny experience camping. I hope it is ok to share. Well I am going to anyway

Friday night there had been a time of singing around the fire at the pavilion. It was getting late and we headed back to our campsite. My daughter had gotten the campfire going and we all sat down with our stuff to make smores. The fire was sparking a little more than it should have. I kept saying something isn't right with this fire. It was a nice big fire but I do not think the sparks were supposed to be there. I said it usually does that when rocks are in there and wondered if one was at the bottom. We went around and around about this. Everone having an opinion. Well to make a really funny long story short it we found out that my 7 year old put rocks in the pit. He said he thought it would help make the fire go better. OH it did all right. You should have seen the guys trying to take the rocks out while the fire was still going. Then we decided to just throw water over the whole thing, dig the rocks out and start over. He said he only put a few in there. NO WAY there were like 12 + in there. By now it is 11:30 and we are trying to restart the fire. It wouldn't go. The guys were so determined to get it going. By the time we had this really nice fire everyone was tired and wanted to go to bed. The other campers around us must have thought we were crazy. The moral of the story do not put rocks in a fire pit they make the fire go snap, crackle and pop really really loud.

On Friday, I spent a great deal of the day at the hospital with BlueEyes409 and her new baby, Paige. It was great holding a brand new baby.

Saturday, I spent most of the day helping dh study for his pyschology test.

On Sunday, we went to church, to my SIL's birthday dinner, then finally, back home.

It was a nice weekend.
