So we started the 2 week window today...I'm not planning to test yet obviously. But I started wondering how early I could start testing...

How early do you start testing to find out if you're pregnant?

5, 8, 9 dpo?

I've read that your body won't start producing HCG until implantation, which occurs around 6-10 days after ovulation. The hormone will not show up in a blood test until 3-4 days after implantation and then 2-3 days after that for the urine, if you want to take a hpt. If you can, hold off as long as possible so you don't get a bfn, which may not be accurate at all. Good luck!

Ok, I tested at 9dpo and was negative - oh the depression. I cried so hard that night; And made brownies(which were also almost devoured that night) I had no symptoms and it was my first round of clomid. I tested 11dpo and got my BFP. So, if you can handle seeing the negative why not try! Just make sure you have cake batter around!

Oops - my answer showed up twice because I thought the first one didn't work!

Love the cake batter suggestion.

With me, I actually never really tested that much after those first few cycles of TTC. Mainly cause I quickly found out (via charting my temps) that my LP was a short 10/11ish days and my temp would drop before that. But once we did our IUIs, I tested a few times to make sure the trigger was out and then tested at 8dpo and got a very faint line. I tested again at 9, same faint line, 10 the same. It wasn't until 11dpo that I got the obvious line and started believing I was actually pg.

I will say though that we all are soooooo different. I did get my BFP early, but we've had many ladies here on this board & around JM who got negative after negative and then at 16dpo got that BFP.

cake batter is one awesome suggestion. It's so hard to wait eh? It's just so tempting to start testing already. ugggh. Maybe tomorrow. That'll be 5 dpo, and I have a whole stash of tests here...

cake batter and cookie dough first though. It would be so nice to give DH some awesome news when he gets back in from his business trip on Friday!
