What is the one thing that has to be done, even if nothing else is, to make you feel ok with housework before you go to bed. My mom can not go to bed unless her kitchen is squared away. Not even a water glass can be in her sink. I cannot clean half the house. If i start i have to finish. I have a very strict routine.

I cannot go to bed in a messy bed. The sheets and blankets have to be without a wrinkle. I think that is my bed stopper. If the blanket is ascrew or the sheet is coming up in the corner, i will remake the bed, and have even roused Joe in the wee hours to remake it again if the bed has gotten messed up.

We have a live in domestic worker so when I get home from work the house is clean. But my biggest thing is the kitchen must be spotless when we go to bed, so we still do our own clean-up after dinner and on weekends the first thing we do in the morning is tidy the house and clean the kitchen. So yeah, kitchen - dirty dishes

Why is it we clean before the cleaner lol . Dh don't mind the mess .where's me it drives me crazy .I also have to hide kids toys in evening so when they in bed I can have a relaxing child free room .and is it just me who has to wash and do my hair before I go to the hairdresser ?

The first thing DH does is pick up all the plates from the table and take them to the scullery for a rinse. While he does that I clean the counters and pack away condiments and the kids destroy the rest of the house, LOL.

DH's major "clean" thing is the pool, the second he comes in from work he is at the pool with skimmer in hand. There can't be a leaf present in the pool and it doesn't matter if it is winter or summer - I know where to find him when I hear his bakkie pull in.

LOL - I have crappy thin hair so if I am going to the hairdresser I throw it up in a pony, put on sunglasses and sneak out the house
Tinky likes this.

LOL - we are pretty much garden variety, far from exotic

But I would absolutely love to get a Ford Shelby GT500! Now that is my ultimate fantasy car!
