I am soooo sorry guys for being MIA...we have been dealing with illness after illness (my own since Friday, Savannah's for weeks ) and between that, the holidays and her birthday parties (yes 2 ) I may officially be losing my mind. I promise I'll be around more now once I shake this flu I caught Friday.
A quick TTC update on me since I haven't been around...the last cycle where we missed the trigger & I ovulated so early on the Femara was (as expected a bust). New cycle started on 11/22 (yeah Thanksgiving, lucky lucky me) and because of the early o issue on Femara the RE wanted me to come in this past Sat (CD10) to make sure we didn't miss it. But I was so sick with the flu I had to cancel and I went in this AM figuring we blew it again - i'm still so sick tho i could hardly care. I had gotten both a + and a - OPK yesterday (stupid Femara) so managed to try last night but pretty much felt like this was another busted cycle.
I got lucky tho and when I went in this AM, there's 1 follie measuring 18.5, so triggered this morning and we're still in this thing for this cycle I start the progesterone & baby aspirin on Thur and then just wait....
thanks ladies...happy to report i'm feeling much better finally!

I take it because I have a progesterone deficiency (and as we get older this becomes a more common problem too)...it helps increase your uterine lining for implanation and helps sustain a pregnancy. In my case, if I get pregnant again I'll remain on a daily progesterone supplement until I'm about 12wks along and then the placenta takes over so most women can cease taking it then (although i have run into women who have been kept on it much longer for other medical issues i think?) A lot of REs prescribe progesterone for all of their patients, regardless of whether they have demonstrated progesterone deficiency, although it seems to be the exact opposite with many OBs (mine won't prescribe at all, my script comes from my RE).
