I saw my fertility specialist and he insists that I need to remove that blocked tube. It's blocked on top and he says the fluids get trapped and wash back down into the uterus causing a acidy like environment. It cuts our chances by 50% if I continue the way it is. So another surgery on the 10th of this month. Anyone know how to beat the gas they give you during surgery? To me that's the most painful part. It gets trapped under your ribs and causes a lot of pain.

Wow! well at least you know and you can up your chances with that tube removed. All our best and you're in my thoughts for the surgery.

I wish I knew how to beat that gas honey. I've had 4 surgeries in 6 years and it's awful. One doctor told me to use that tube thing, you know to build lung capacity after surgery - they give it to you after organ removal (unfortunately I've done that twice) so hopefully you won't have to go through that, but you could do something similar. Take a very large breath and then let it out slowly through pursed lips.

Another doc told me to flap my wings. Not kidding. Flap my wings. I looked like an idiot. And it didn't help.

My best advice, Drugs.

Good luck Sweetie. We're all pulling for you!

You are in my T&P's during your surgery and recovery. Hopefully the gas pains won't be as severe and I second the Drugs! If you do decide to flap your arms, could you possibly video it and post it? Kidding!

How long do you have to wait before TTC?

You guys cracked me up!!! I laughed out loud when Leia told me to flap my wings. Then even more so when she said she tried it. In those desperate places we will do anything. Renee you almost made me pee my pants with the video comment. If I do get in that desperate place and try it I'll at least let you all know so you can have a good laugh also!

Renee, I'll probably just have to sit out for this month and I'll be able to try starting next month. Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts.

Oh and I think I'll opt for the drugs!

More like, that it like a women! Men are big babies usually.

Will they do any U/S's to see if your good tube is functioning?

After your surgery you should be good to go then. Will you automatically just ovulate from the one side monthly or will you alternate each month?

Next month I'm positive you're going to get your BFP!

I will still ovulate out of both ovaries so it'll be every other month. I sure hope you're right about my bfp next month! Thanks for the positive thoughts.

Do you typically feel when you ovulate? I use to but since TTC this time around I'm not sure which side I'm ovulating from.

Hoping, can't they just tie a rubber hose to that ovary and hook it up to your uterus? JK. I've read so much about TTC with one tube and many have said they conceived very quickly, maybe a month or two longer than with two.

FXd that you recover quickly and get that BFP soon!

Thanks everyone, Renee sometimes I can tell and others I can't tell. I always assume that when I have more pain out of my left side that's the side I ovulate out of. So who knows really. Our bodies are pretty mysterious really.

Leia I've done it before so I'm hoping I can do it one more time! I'm always had just the one tube.
