Mine are my computer/internet and books. My DH teases me that he never knew someone could read as much as I do. I have been a bookworm since I was eight years old and I could not survive without having books or something to read. Reading is also a great stress reliever for me. I let my mind have a break for a while from all of my TTC worries and fears.
DVD Entainment center in my car that turns my children into BoobTube Zombies while I'm driving. I seriously love that thing. They fight and bicker non stop and as soon as they put their headphones on it's so dang peaceful while I drive. Such serenity!!
Renee, that's funny. I made an 80's compilation CD for my 7 yr old and that keeps him happy. If he reads or plays video games, he vomits. We're TV nazis so we don't allow dvds in the car unless on a long drive.
I use to think before I had children I would never let my children watch TV. When we got my first Highlander we go that car fully loaded with every bells and whistles. Turns out I took back not wanting my children to watch TV just so I could get a little Me Time. Turns out my oldest had literally no interest to watch anything until he was almost 4.
I figure the movies are south better then the yelling I would be doing from all their bickering.
I could also never live without my navigation system. I call the lady my best friend that calls out the direction. Love her!
