Hello All,
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Luda and my husband and I are trying to conceive one more time. We have 7 kids, our last set of twins was born 7 years ago. No clue if we get lucky enough to conceive at 44 yo. My hubby and I look and feel younger and have a lot of energy and have prevented pregnancy for 7 years due to my job as a Police Officer....My husband is retired and a stay-at-home Dad, so having one more little one in the house would be a great joy for all. We were very fertile in our 30s but who knows what it will be like now. Anyway, good luck to all of you ladies and good luck to me. Lol.

Hi Luda and Welcome to TTCOM!!

I'd say your 30's you were very fertile! Do you have more than 1 set of twins? Amazing!! That's great your DH is a SAHD.
Wishing you the best while you TTC #8 and hopefully your time here is short and sweet!

I'm Renee TTC #3 currently going to be my 8th cycle. I have a 7 year and 6 year old boys. I would love to have a baby girl, but a boy would be just as welcomed. I just turned 40 this month and DH is 47 almost 48. He of course reminds that he'll be working into his 70's because of our children.

Hi Renee! Nice to meet you! That would be great for you to add a girl to your brood! My DH and I have 3 sets of twins and a singleton, all conceived naturally. We are concerned about our fertility now because of my age (although my Mom conceived at 42 and my husband's sister at 47!). The other drawback is that I'm working graveyard as a cop and that changed my cycle. I had to have a D&C last week due to a very heavy period. But the strange thing that came out of that was our decision to try for #8 because, strangely enough, I'm feeling ovulation pains just 11 days afterwards! So, we will see if any of our plans come true or not! Best of luck to you! You are only 40 and you have a greater chance of getting pregnant!

Wow 3 sets!!! Does the singleton feel a little left out? Have you been featured on your local news? What if you ended up pregnant with Quads? I don't think it will take you very long to get pregnant.

Glad you joined the group! It's a little more quiet since it's such a small group, but the Ladies are great in here!

Welcome to the group, I'm Rae 41, ttc # 4. # 1 with DH. We've been trying now for 12-14 months, I lose track really. This is our last month of ttc. DH is ready to move on. Sounds like you'll have no problems at all! Good luck to you! And thank you for your service!

Thank you for the warm welcome, Ladies. @Renee: No, we haven't been featured in our local news, simply because we wouldn't like that type of attention. We are currently enjoying a quiet country lifestyle. Our singleton, Erika, is the same height as one of our twin girls, Maria and the three of them are usually mistaken for triplets and she is only 18 months older than them anyway. LOL.

Welcome Luda! WOW! Three sets of twins. I'd say you are trying for #8 and #9! Haha! I wish you all the luck there is! Any chance your schedule is going to change to give you more time for family and TTC? What is it like having that many doubles? How did you manage? Was it easier after the first set or was it always a challenge?

I'm Leia, I'm 40 and DH and I have a 7 yr old boy and we've been trying for several years and just conceived #2 after several losses. It's still early for us and we're walking on egg shells hoping that this one stays with us.

Again welcome!

What is the longest it has taken you to conceive?

Do you typically get bombarded with questions when you have the whole family together?

Sorry, Ladies, for the delay in answering. Things have been crazy at my job with this Furlough....Well, 8 years ago, I had no issues conceiving very quickly (before my last set of twins, I had a m/c one cycle before getting preggo with them). But It has been 7 years since their birth and I have no clue how easy or hard it would be for a 44 year old to conceive and STAY pregnant. I was watching the whole Duggar family ordeal when Mrs. Duggar lost her baby at 19 weeks at 45 yo....That's the kind of sad and scary stories I don't want to hear...on the other hand, , my hubby and I have been living a very healthy country lifestyle (fresh air and water, we don't drink, smoke, take any type of drugs other than herbs, we don't even drink caffeine). So, we are praying for another little miracle soon (I think I ovulated yesterday if my BBTs are reliable which is hard being on nightshift).
Anyway, it is great meeting all of you and the Best of Luck to all of us!

Wow, I hope you are preggo in no time! My story is a little different than the other ladies..... This 'older member' is actually TTC my first.... I'm 35 and well I've been at it creeping up on a year quickly....I'm a Christian and I firmly believe that God's timing is perfect so I'm trying to be patient. With that said I do get frustrated and depressed sometimes but just kinda pray my way through it. BTW- I'm Linny...

See ya around!

Linny, Renee and 2ligit2quit, I hope all of us get preggo this month! I take Vitex (Chasteberry) to enhance my Progesterone production. I also take B-100 Complex, Milk thistle, and a Calcium and Vitamin D combo. All of those are supposed to enhance fertility.

on a happy note: Halle Berry 47 just gave birth to a healthy baby boy. I believe she conceived naturally. According to her "it was a surprise baby"!

Hello Girls,
I got my AF 22 days after my d&c. I didn't really expect to fall pregnant right after it but I did chart and believe I ovulated but I'm assuming my lining wasn't perfect yet after the OP. We will try again. I'm on CD4 now and I added a few herbs/vitamins to my dirt. I'm also juicing right now to make sure my body is completely detoxed and healthy.

Sorry to hear AF showed, but having a nice thick lining is better for your egg to snuggle down in!

FX'd this coming cycle you get your BFP!
