Yes...I figured out there is a difference between CS2 and older versions of photoshop. All you need to do is ctrl click on the layers you want to link and that will temporarily link them together until you click off of them. Hope that helps.

Well, I think i've finally figured it out. Not sure what I did at the end to get the animation right, but it's working. Yay! It was kind of hard because the version of Photoshop I downloaded (cs3) no longer has the image ready button, so I got a bit confused. Here is what I came up with......
Thank you for such a great tutorial!

yep...they discontinued image ready. kinda stinks cause you can't open previously made animations in layers anymore...but everything else is the same. Great job!

hmm stuck on step 4 i dont have empty boxes next to my layers[/b]
|
I am stuck on this step too... using PS CS3 and I have the boxes but they have an "eye" in them and if you click it, it becomes empty. The link box is below it. I am looking in the correct spot but just confused.
Edit: I got through this by Control Clicking and linking, but now I can't get the animation to work. I feel dumb!

I didn't have it either in PS CS3 (using a trial) I used a square brush and made it bigger and just painted the color I wanted, but it is certainly easier with a bucket. Wonder if we are overlooking something?

You can also go to Edit, Fill. Make sure you have the background layer highlighted.
