I am using some of the screen shots from Lesson 1 so some pics have a red block some pink plz look over this...

Step1: open up new layer
Step 2: set width 150 height 21 pixels click ok

Step 3: set colors by clicking on the color blocks

Use the paint bucket to fill the layer with a color just like on Lesson 1
Unlock layer (double click lock)

Duplicate your layer by right clicking and clicking duplicate
this should come up.. click ok... make 1 more layer so that you have 3 layers

Choose the brush tool...
change the brush to a circle (see in photo) there is a little arrow you can click that and go to assorted... its all in the photo...

close the eyes on 2 layers and make sure the one that the eye is open on is highlighed (in the layer box)

randomly make circles all over this layer

close open the eye on another and repeat this step and then again so that all 3 layers have circles in different places (as in photo)

next add some text
click on the text tool and choose a color (as you did before)

next duplicate your text the same way as before

close all the eyes except for one background layer and one text layer

click layers, then merge visible

close the eyes again and repeat till you have three layers all with background and text

click file, save for web, check animate , and set for .05 and click save and ok...

you should have this...

you can use differnet brushes... not just circles... you can also use photos ... like little hearts or whatever

Woo hoo! Looks good.

Something that I will do occasionally if my test won't fit in my box vertically, is increase the size of my canvas by like 5 pixles after I have the basic blinky shape built. Sometimes I have to move things around a bit, but it gives the letters like "y" "g" and "j" a little more room. Kind of like my Grey's Anatomy Blinkie in my siggie.

I couldn't figure out the cirle thingy in paint shop, so I used this star thingy instead. I think it still has the same effect?

I slowed it down a bit, i think it looks better this way!

Here is my attempt at it. I wish I knew how to make my words and all blink differently. They look good.
