We are going to learn how to do glitter text! Now, you can put this in a normal size blinkie. Usually it has to be a short, clear and bold style word in order for it to be clear in a blinkie.

Here is an example of a glitter object in a blinkie:

Here is an example of glitter text in a blinkie:

For the purpose of this tutorial, we will just do it outside of the blinkie format.

Step 1
Glitter Text. Usually the best font types to use are fairly bold in size. Skinny scripty fonts don't look AS good. Open a document with transparent background of any size. Say 400 x 400 pixels. Start a new text layer and type what you want in glitter. Right click on the text layer and choose "Rasterize Type"

Step 2
Duplicate the layer 3 times, so you have a total of four layers with the text on it.

Step 3
Click on your first layer. Go to FILTER > NOISE > ADD NOISE. Make sure your setting are set up like this:

Click ok and go on to the next layer. Repeat steps above, except increse the "amount" to 26%, for the next layer 27% and the last 28%.

Step 4
Adding Bevel/Emboss, Stroke and Drop Shadow. Click on your top layer. You can start with the bottom layer, but you won't be able to see what is going on. Go to LAYER > LAYER STYLES > BLENDING OPTIONS. Start with Drop Shadow. I like to use a drop shadow with a size and distance of 3, instead of the defaulted 5. Next move to Bevel and Emboss. I find the settings of Depth 91%, Size 7 px, Angle 124 degrees and Altitude 69 degrees works the best with glitter, but play around with it. And lastly add a Stroke. I Usually will use a white stroke, but it depends on the look I am going for.

Step 5
Right click on the layer you just added the styles to. Copy the layer style and paste it to the remaining 3 layers.

[/b]Step 6[/b]
Head over to image ready and lets animate. Basically, each layer gets its own frame. So frame one, layer one visible, frame 2, layer 2 visible, so and so forth. Now, usually if it is just glitter text that is not in a blinkie, like we are doing now, I will crop the size of the image. This just removes the extra space around it so when you go to put it in your siggie, it doesn't take up as much room.

Click on the crop tool and make a box around your text. Be careful not to cut it too small or you may cut off some of your drop shadow and not even realize it. Double click in the middle of the box and it should crop the pic for you! Now, just hit play and save optimized as and it should look like this:

***Will edit post to add image glitter and "bling" embellishments!

I really like that font! It jumps because after you duplicated the layers, somehow you accidentally moved your text. So, it is not in the same position in all four frames. I bet if you were to try it again, it would be just fine!

1. Is the preview on?

or

2. The layer you are putting the filter on, is underneath another layer. So, if you continue on all layers, you should be able to see it.

It is basically the same concept, just glitter with an object instead of letters.
