Sorry this post will be quite long... but I just need to know if someone else has had this happen or has any thing to help my crazy thoughts.
End of October I stopped taking birthcontrol pills, and at the end of November I got my first pill free period. December 22nd I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive. It was a great Christmas present! But I knew somthing wasn't quite right. I started spotting a brown colored discharge. I went to the Dr the next week and had my HCG levels checked, and I was told the levels were consistant with an upcomming miscarriage. New Years Day I started cramping and bleeding bright red, and I knew it was done. I bled for 5 days and it slowly tapered off to a spotting that was similar to what it was before. A couple weeks later my Dr. had me come in for an ultrasound to make sure it was complete. She said there was no debris, and my uterus and ovaries looked great! She also showed me on the monitor several follicles that were close to mature and that I would ovulate very very soon. A couple days later I stopped spotting, then a week later I started bleeding with slight cramping that has still continued to today - the 30th. I just figured this was my period and we were excited to start trying again. Just being curious, this morning I took a home pregnancy test that came out positive. I don't understand what's going on. Here are my issues:
Left over HCG from miscarriage - why would the Dr. see I was about to ovulate? From what I know, if you still have left over material from the miscarriage you're not supposed to ovulate.
I'm pregnant again - I don't think this is a possibliity, we only had sex 3 times - 2 w/ condoms and one with the pull out method.
I'm so confused and frustrated. I called my Dr and left a message for her to call me back. I just don't know what to think anymore, I just want it all to be over and done with so I can move on.
That seems confusing to me, I don't think you can ovulate if you still have material left, especially if you have enough HCG in your system to create a + pg test. I hope your doctor called you back. Let me know what happened.
